Pilcrow Lit Fest

I'm pleased as punch to be moderating a panel on teaching artists during the 2nd Annual Pilcrow Lit Fest. For one week in May, Pilcrow brings authors, writers, poets, librarians, booksellers, and publishers from around the country together in support of small presses and independent media through small workshops, panel discussions, lectures and author readings in Chicago. Last year I partook in three panels, each unique and enjoyable in its own right.

Pilcrow kicks off on the 17th, and has affiliated events throughout the week, including a reading Monday, May 18th at Jak's Tap where I'll be featuring, alongside the always-scintillating Charlie Newman.

For more information on all the panels, go here. The teaching artists panel, featuring myself and representatives from 826Chi, Center for Community Arts Partnerships, Chicago Teaching Artists Collective, Snow City Arts, and the Teaching Artist Research Project, among others, will be held Saturday, May 23rd at 1:00 PM at Trader Todd's. No cover, open to the public, all ages are welcome. The full Pilcrow calendar is here.

Hope to see you a-Pilcrow-ing!
